report variable reading through a table

Hello everyone:

        I have placed a variables in a report defined as 
follows:

vVar1 = ACTCOMBINE IN ACTIVITYSCHED WHE ID = ID
vVar2 = ID IN ACTIVITYSCHED WHE ACTCOMBINE = .vVar1 and 
role = 'advisor'

Am I correct in stating that the vVar2 does not run through
the ACTIVITYSCHED table to satisfiy the compound clause of 
.vVar1 and role = 'advisor'?
