I think you are referring to my demo where I store the pdf in the database,
and yes when I need to access the the pdf, I dump it to a file temp$$$.pdf,
and then I do something like zip start acrobat.exe temp$$$.pdf.
I don't think there is currently a way to do it in R:base w/o writting it to a
file first. I can do it in Tango w/o having to write it to a file first.
