Try this!
Your Entry EEP should look like this!
CHOOSE fvshipinfo FROM 'Customer P/U,Company Truck,Common Carrier,UPS' +
AT CENTER CENTER
RECALC VAR
skip 1
RETURN
The column shipinfo field should be replaced with var fvshipinfo
make sure that the field setting for this field have the add new data and
user can change data checked.
The only thing else you'll have to do is clear the var fvshipinfo upon
saving the row, because if you don't it will remain unless you change it
with a new choose selection! you'll have to have a eep to set the var to
null (set var fvshipinfo = null)
on the form menu select layout - table setting - add the reset eep for the
var's on the line after saving row.
You don't have to do a saverow to display the var field fvshipinfo unless
you want that value saved before the user saves the complete form of data.
I added the skip 1 to make the cursor jump to the next field.
Before the Choose #list was added I use the popups to do the same thing!
Your other alternative is to have a table with the items you want to use and
do a popup for those items. I do this also for all the different set of
items for selective entry of values. I have the table setup with and
DataSetID,Value,POPUPgroup and I use the where clause in the popup to select
which popupgroup i want, order by the datasetID showing the values that are
to used in that entry selection! i.e. (Fedex Overnight,UPS Blue,UPS
Ground,Airborne) popupgroup would be SHIP and DataSetID would be what ever
the order I want them to display or (Greenville Warehouse,Grenda
Warehouse,Greenwood Warehouse) popupgroup would be Warehouse.
This should work just fine!
