When I got this message, I asked my son-in-law about the information (he
works at Cisco).  His reply is very informative and contains a link for

This is typical for people to blow things out of proportion.  I assume the
link below is what he is talking about.  This was a problem with the  DSL
CPE gear and a free software fix was released last Dec.
