Jim,

We have been printing color reports since HP made the first DeskJet 800's
Heres how I do it from a DOS report

define the following printer control codes

Stcolor = <027 042 114 045 052 085>
dfcolor = <027 042 118 053 050 083>
Redcolor = <027 042 114 052 085>
grncolor = <027 042 118 053 056 083>
blkcolor= <027 042 118 053 049 083>
blucolor = <027 042 118 053 053 048>
purcolor = <027 042 118 053 053 052>

now in your report when you want to change the color you must use the 3
print codes in succession
STcolor,dfcolor,redcolor as an example for Red printing. It will stay red
until you put another color code in, say to print a line in red you would go
stcolor,dfcolor,redcolor   -------Text ---------
stcolor,dfcolor,blkcolor

There are more colors, You can get the Hex values from HP and then convert
them to decimal.
