I have used the underscore in fieldnames for a long while.
I have heard that other databases... besides rbase choke
on this.. not sure which, maybe SQL server or ??? If your
going to ever pull the data into other database products
then you might want to consider this.
The other thing I have noted about this is that when you
go with underscores and longer names ... and you ever
SCONNECT to the database from another you might end up
with a small problem...
I think this is more of a problem with 6.1a -- not sure
about 6.5 and up.. like you have a name like
longtablename.long_column_name... it might be interpreted
between the two connects like longtablename.long_colum_n
or something.. I'm not quite sure what the limits as far a
characters are in these situations...
I have to admit that it's been a couple of years ago since
I ran into this problem, so the exact details I'm fuzzy on,
but I know it's something like that.
