In the shortcuts's your better of explicitly telling RBase the location
for
the RBase.cfg file. In the Target use:
K:\RBTI\RBG65.EXE -oc:\rbw65\rbase.cfg -r datfile.dat

We have a directory set up on the network called RBBUsers... in this
directory
we have three subdirectories under a RBcfg directory. The names of the
three
directories are RbDos6, Rbw61, Rbw65... In each of these is the proper
cfg file
for the version being used with the users name set up as NAME
defaultname

We just copy these three directories to the users machine and change the
name
for each RBase.cfg file in each directory. Other things I change is in
the
RBase.ini is the line CFGFile=C:\RBW65\RBASE.CFG just to make sure for
the
first run through this, the MSGPath=K:\RBTI\RBWIN65,
HelpPath=K:\RBTI\RBWIN65.
Of course this is for Windows version of RBase.

We have found that while setting the Icons up on the users desktop it's
imperative to change the name of the Shortcut (RENAME)... this way all
the
Icons have a different name. This will also allow you to create a
directory
under the RBUSers directory with the UsersName... Copy the 3 directories
you
created in the above steps so you can copy them back if they're lost or
???
Also you can copy the shortcuts with a right-click drag to the
RBUsers\RBUserName
directory. This would save a lot of work down the road though it's a bit
invloved up front.

One thing I don't like about RBase on a net is the RBASE INI situation.
We have
only one INI in the same place on the network as RBase windows versions.
If
one users has setting different than another it overwrites it. I have
not
done any in depth research to figure out a way around this to data... On
the long list... ha,ha

Hope this helps
