Charlie & all:

I've been running 6.5++ for Windows (and before that 6.1) on W2K and NT for
some time, server (multi-user database) and clients. Getting rid of SERVER.RBG
was the best change, even at the expense of concurrency licensing!

My experience has been that this package runs WAY better on W2K than it ever
did on '95 and '98 clients. No more desktop crashes if the app does
misbehave. I haven't yet found an excuse to fix anything with R:Scope- the
database always seems to be left in good shape. But if the IT staff are just
beginning to use their first "PRO" series OS, they'll have the kinds of issues
you report related to folder rights, temp file placement, profile management,
environment variables, etc. W2K is not "wide-open"- it's designed for a
managed environment, as was NT.

This may not apply to you, but I thought I'd pass along the idea...
