No, that leads R:Base to (correctly) try to evaluate

SET VAR vResult = ('vMyVar' / 2)

and since text cannot be divided by a numerical value
it fails.  I need that extra level of indirection that
you can get with macro substituation to get not the
value of vVarName, but the value of the variable
specified by vVarName.
