Don't you just love the consistency of the various Windows implementations.
I noticed similar problems when I copied files with long names (windows 95) saved on a ZIP disk to a computer running WINDOWS XP (home edition). These files were then saved on a CD-R disk. Also note that the range of valid characters for file names is different depending on the version of Windows/DOS. For example "!", "#", "@" were once valid charactes. Now on later versions of windows copying file names with these characters have the changed to "_". -- Jim Bentley American Celiac Society [EMAIL PROTECTED] - email (973) 776-3900 x5029 - voicemail/fax ---- Ramsour Mike <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Buddy: > > I copied and pasted your command to my system and just > changed the reference > table name and got > > LOANSFORM 919888 2-22-02 11:14a LOANSFORMEAND.DAT > > Hmmmm. > > I noticed this behavior after I started using Acrobat Distiller. > This > product allows you to output R:Base reports directly to > a PDF file.
