We use Citrix here, but I also recommend straight Terminal Services or combining it with New Moon's Canavral or the Netilla appliance.  It really depends on your need.  I've also used Remotely Possible, which has a 1mb footprint and flies.  There is also always the Back Oriface trojan horse.

I've worked with VNC and PCA.
found that VNC is more reliable when it comes to handling differences in video(host vs remote) than PCA.
Other than that using either have been very trouble free!
VNC is smaller in size than PCA but setup is similar between the two!
I would choose either one to use!
