>> I know AT&T Cambridge Lab developed VNC (Virtual Network Computing), a freeware for cross-platform mobile computing. I want to be able to access remote computers via the Internet, and VNC sounds like a good tool for that. Is it difficult to set up or to use? Is it robust? How does it stack up against PCAnywhere? <<
We use it internally. If you or your clients have a firewall, it may take some work to get it through the firewall. Although I have tried, I didn't try VERY hard, so I don't know how doable it is. Outside of that, though, it works quite well. ================================================ TO SEE MESSAGE POSTING GUIDELINES: Send a plain text email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] In the message body, put just two words: INTRO rbase-l ================================================ TO UNSUBSCRIBE: send a plain text email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] In the message body, put just two words: UNSUBSCRIBE rbase-l ================================================ TO SEARCH ARCHIVES: http://www.mail-archive.com/rbase-l%40sonetmail.com/
