Hurrah! I've found a way to get the footer line back. With the report designer open with the report and R:Base maximised I re-sized the report window to approx 2/3 of the R:Base screen. Then scroll down to the very bottom and then maximise the window. This allows scrolling down a little further. A couple of attempts and I found it again.
