Hi,

Use the <@CHOICELIST> (if you are in version 2000)

Create a Select Action which returns the fields you want
Let's say AgentID and AgentName

Then in the results of the Select action place an <@assign>
List this <@ASSIGN NAME="Agents" VALUE="@@resultSet" SCOPE="User">

Then you can place the following choiclist action wherever..

<@CHOICELIST NAME="theEvent" TYPE=SELECT OPTIONS="@@User$Agents[*,2]"
VALUES="@@User$Agents [*,1]" SIZE="1" SELECTED="">

Hope this helps

Subject: Drop Down in R:Tango

Thanks for the previous suggestions.

I have a table of salesagents and a table of customers. Both will change
constantly.

I want to be able to enter the salesagent for a customer from the
salesagent
table.

In the R:Tango tutorials, It tells how to enter "static" drop down
lists.
But can I select a salesagent while entering a customer record, from the
salesagent table and enter the salesagent id or name into the customer
table
with R:Tango using a drop down list or some other technique?

I would need to be able to do this on an update as well.

If so, how?

Thanks
