Kristie,
   I do something very similar.  You can create an RMD file  and run Rbase 
with a bat file in the windows scheduler.  I have the code at work and 
could send it your way tomorrow.

   I also have the server here set up so that if the UPS detects a power 
loss, it fires up Rbase, and dumps table data (for our scheduler app) to a 
floppy. Then when the power is off, the latest data is on a floppy and can 
be run into a laptop we have on site... That way, we don't go down if the 
power does.
