Larry:
If you saw my earlier response to this post, I also had this problem even
when very small (fast) reports were run one after the other with one "OUTPUT
PRINTER" before and one "OUTPUT SCREEN" after all 3 reports were run.
Explanation 2 seems very plausible and will have to try it next time my
client runs into this problem. As I indicated, it happens sporadically and
rebooting the computer seems to solve the problem.

Although I don't have any experience with Win2K per se in this environment,
using RBDOS under other versions of Windows on Novell you need to be aware
of two factors:

1) If you change the OUTPUT between printing reports, Windows will open a
separate print job, and you will get the form feed. OUTPUT PRINTER; PRINT
Rep1; Print Rep2; OUTPUT SCREEN would work, but OUTPUT PRINTER; Print Re1;
OUTPUT SCREEN; OUTPUT PRINTER; Print Rep2; OUTPUT SCREEN would result in two
separate pages.

2) Novell's printer capture has a timeout such that, if the delay between
the end of the first report and the first output character of the second
report exceeds the specified timeout, the first printer job will be closed
and a new one started. You want to set this timeout to be something longer
than it could possibly take to start any of the subsequent reports. Check
the timeout on the printer port you are using to make sure it's not some
small number of seconds.
