The FILES setting could easily have been named RUN_LEVELS
With FILES = 5
RUN cmdfile1
and within cmdfile1 RUN cmdfile2
and within cmdfile2 RUN cmdfile3
and within cmdfile3 RUN cmdfile4
and within cmdfile4 RUN cmdfile5
all is well,
BUT
within cmdfile5 RUN cmdfile6
will only return to cmdfile2. The RETURN at the end of cmdfile2 will drop you out to
the R> because RBase has forgotten that it was called from cmdfile1
