Since no one else has answered this, and I don't feel like doing any real
work today, I figured out how to do this. It was not very easy to do.
(Insert nasty MS comments here)

I couldn't get it to pass the value to the query via the default setup
screens. I built the query to prompt the user for the value, and then I
right clicked on the field that had the query and then I was able to find
the option that let me link the field to the query. Change the value in
cell C18 and it will update the data in the row next to it. This just uses
the standard old concomp database.

The file is located at
http://www.sosamon.com/rbase/samples/testconcompodbc.xls
I think you will want to right click on this link and save the file on your
machine before trying it.
You will need the concomp datasource on your machine.
