We are upgrading RBWin Runtime customers to 6.5++, but a couple of weeks ago a client loaded Runtime 6.1 from diskette. We have had some minor installation problems at some plants, such as unable to load the ODBC files, but we weren't using them anyway.
At this site, during the install, the system locked up solid and they decided it must have been due to RBase. They uninstalled and ended up with something I haven't seen before. Windows 98 seems to run OK at first, but then as you use your mouse, small rectangle blocks appear and overlay themselves all over the screen. Eventually they have to reboot. They are upgrading to Win XP. After much concern, they allowed me to install Runtime 6.5++ and all's OK. No viruses. Uninstall may have removed necessary dll's? Damage to video driver s/w? Anyone see this before?
