Where do you get vreview.exe, and who is Robert Rugelo?

And......can you give me any example of how to use the SHOW VAR command with
BLOBS?

I forgot to mention that block of code could be changed for the the RB
Windows portion to use the Launch command, but the Launch command still is
not in R:base for DOS as far as I know. The procedure I posted should work
in any version of R:base that supports blobs going back to I think version
5.0.

My workaround for Launch not working in DOS is you can start explorer.exe
and pass the file and it will open the Windows program for that file type.
For my application, I like to control what viewer is being used for some
file types and not count on the Windows default application for it.
Personally, I like to view graphics whith vreview.exe (from Robert Rugelo).
It loads fast and has lots of nice functionality.

This brings up the subject that it would be nice to have a function to
determin the file type so we don't have to allocate a field in the database
to do it.
