My Windows 2K installation seems to come with ODBC drivers for Access, so
you could SCONNECT the database and pull the data in that way (or even use
it in place in the access database from R:Base).

Failing that, get yourself a copy of Access and use it to open the database.
Access can do ODBC, so you could pump the data out that way, into your
R:Base database.
