You can use ROT13 just like email.  Take the ascii value of the character and shift it up 13 chars in value (if it was to be really simple, just shift it up 1 or 2 chars, that would make it pretty simple).  For example Asc(65) or "A" becomes Asc(78) or "N".   "Mike" Becomes "Zvxr".  Of course if the Ascii Value with the addition is greater than Asc(122) "z" then the shift moves to the beginning Asc(65) "A" and increments from there.....

To make this reasonably fast, you need to make a UDF in 'C' or 'C++' or Hopefully Soon VB!

Subject: Simple Encryption

I'm looking for a way to encrypt a text file from within Rbase (RBW6.5++ 1.851).

Is anyone familiar with a callable UDF or DLL or other executable routine
that can do this?

The encryption scheme does not have to be extensive.  It only needs to prevent
the casual browser from deciphering content.

Any insight would be appreciated... Thanks!
