I'd add that I suspect it also has something to do w/file attribute settings in 2000(NT) when the partition is formatted using NTFS.  Unfortunately, I'm not sufficiently well-versed at the moment to add much to this.  I could say that is your user profile is Administrator-level and the partition is NTFS, then this is probably the case.   I'm sure there are others on the list who can add explanations/solutions.     Later, Steve in Memphis ----- Original Message ----- From: Tricia PORTER To: < Sent: Sunday, September 08, 2002 2:08 PM Subject: getting error message I'm using r:base 2000 6.5++ for windows.   When I try to run one of my programs I keep getting the following error:   RBG65.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows.  You will need to restart the program.  An error log is being created.   Can anyone tell me why I'm getting this error message and what I can do to fix it?   I appreciate all help.  Thanks.  Tricia
