I am on a network at home, albeit only two computers...  I just ran the
command on the WIN98SE and it returns "WORKGROUP" which is the name of
my workgroup.  I don't have a domain name specified for the network but
on the WIN2K it returns !error and not workgroup... I'll try it next
time I'm at the office where I have both WIN98SE and WIN2K workstations
and a domain specified network. ~Claudine :)

I believe that this should be the correct result if you are not on a
network. I will continue trying to figure out why it is happening on my
computer. I might try reloading Windows 98SE and see if it does

am hesitant to do this as I have so much software installed that it
