I am on a network at home, albeit only two computers... I just ran the command on the WIN98SE and it returns "WORKGROUP" which is the name of my workgroup. I don't have a domain name specified for the network but on the WIN2K it returns !error and not workgroup... I'll try it next time I'm at the office where I have both WIN98SE and WIN2K workstations and a domain specified network. ~Claudine :)

I will continue trying to figure out why it is happening on my computer. I might try reloading Windows 98SE and see if it does anything; I am hesitant to do this as I have so much software installed that it would take a while to restore all software. In any case, thank you so much for your help. Javier Valencia, PE President Valencia Technology Group, L.L.C. 14315 S.
