What program is the sender using? Usually there is a counterpart to receive the data. In a strictly dos environment we use Close-Up to send and receive. It has script file capability so the sender can actually run a program to load r:Base, and run macros within it. PcAnywhere (win or dos) would also allow you to send and receive files. One of my customers uses it to retrieve files from each of his remote locations.
