Many many years ago, I had the same problem with the DOS versions. I also convinced ( I should say obliged !) my users to accept format B. This was not too difficult, because most french accounting software uses the decimal point ... The reason is that french keyboards have no coma on the numeric pad but have only a point. The problem is different in Germany : As far as I can remember, on a german keyboard, numeric pad have only a coma. I did not check formats A/C with RBW ... J.M.
