I made a mistake on one of the recent betas and had some sort of time-warp where I tried again to get the "save layout" corrected - yes, Razzak & RBTI, it was genuine mistake on my part and I'm sorry to have mis-led you. My mind must have flipped back a year or so for some reason but the problem is still there as far as I'm concerned.
Alastair,
Your very professional and detailed correspondence with R:DCC and the members
of RBTI Dream Team is greatly appreciated. And, I really enjoyed the feedback
and all details.
The feature of saving Queries and Layout has been the same since the release
of R:BASE for Windows in 1995 (with SET LAYOUT ON).
FYI, The Magical R:BASE 7.0 for Windows includes a COOL feature of saving
each user LAYOUT of Views/BROWSER/EDITOR in SYS_LAYOUTS3, a new
system table.
You'll have to see it yourself to really appreciate the work of The Dream Team!
Remember, NOTHING is impossible!
Prepare yourself - study, learn, develop and get ready for a wild ride!
