I can now after one more days of testing add:

1 I stripped the database from 60 tables to 11

2 taken away all rules and indexes

3 Stripped my commandfile from 225 lines to 15

4 This is how the stripped commandfile looks:

DISC
SET MULTI OFF
CON GL
del rows fro transfg where kontonr exi or kontonr fails
*(transaction previous year deleted based on accountnummber)
del rows fro verfg where vernr exi or vernr fails
del rows fro ibub where kontonr exi or kontonr fails
del rows fro hbfg where kontonr exi or kontonr fails
del rows fro ibfg where kontonr exi or kontonr fails
del rows fro trans where kontonr exi or kontonr fails
del rows fro ib where kontonr exi or kontonr fails
del rows fro ub where kontonr exi or kontonr fails
del rows fro ubfg where kontonr exi or kontonr fails
del rows fro hb where kontonr exi or kontonr fails
del rows fro verifik where vernr exi or vernr fails

5 The database tables contains between 25 rows and 2000 rows

6 Executed in win version of 6.5++ No problem

7 Executed in DOS version 1.851 (or the beta for patch 3) it either hangs or
crushes (where seems to vary a little depending on order of lines in
commandfile (are I sick or something))

8 If I take away the where clauses it execute ok even in dos

9 In real life I need the where clause only on 2 lines the rest of where
clauses is because 2.11 required a where clause

10 I am convinced that 99 times out of 100 if a commandfile does not work it
is because of me is this case 100?

11 I am still puzzled by lineend but do not any longer believe it causes any
harm

12 If it is not apparent the app is GL-General Ledger handling previous year
current year and next year and this is the stripped version of yearly
rollover.

13 Am I the only one on DOS version left since it been so quit or are US not
waked up yet and Australia already in bed?

I hope 13 point on this does not mean bad luck in answer

Gunnar asking for understanding
