Mike, I guess I am one of those who installed over a year ago and I do not have one of the "latter, I assume you mean later" CD's.
I do have my registration number user name, and password. If fact, I needed those to download this latest patch. I was able to install each of the Betas and they found the R:Base executable OK. Do I understand you to say that I need to acquire a CD in order to apply the latest patch? If so, what is the cost and availability? A minor point, when I clicked on the ... button to browse to my \RBTI\RBWIN65 folder, the pop-up referred to installing R:Merge. I assume that is in the category of a typo. Bill Cook No hurry - have a good Thanksgiving. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Willochell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, November 27, 2002 12:41 PM Subject: Notes on Using the 6.5++ Automated Update > To the R:BASE Community; > > For a more streamlined approach to the update process, we have implemented > a new technology that works with your existing 6.5++ installation to > automatically > locate your R:BASE files and install the update Patch to the correct location. > > Occasionally, there are several issues that may arise, and to know what these > issues are will help you to resolve them quickly. > > The first issue that you may experience while trying to run the Automated > Update > is a message similar to the following: "Cannot find installation > information," and the > process will abort.
