For starters, I got the book "Beginning REALbasic: From Novice to Professional", written by Jerry Ford, Jr. The book was based on REALbasic edition 2006. In one of the exercises (chapter 4), it is asked to enable the multiline property on a TextField (then called EditField). However, I cannot find this property in the property/value table. Probably it changed names from the 2006 to the 2010 edition. Could I get any help on that? Thanks a lot from a beginner. If you click on the favorites in the control popup does it not list editfield? At least for learning I don't think it would make sense to use what the book uses. Once you have finished the basics you could then learn the new controls and how to use the newer process for opening a styled editfield, which was also deprecated but may be referenced in the book. _________________ This message made with 100% recycled pixels.
