Posts: 1                I am using RealStudio 2010 release 1

I am updating an cross-platform app that plays instructional tutorials. I use
a listbox to display folderitems. Click on one and it launches a window with a
quicktime player. I have a method I call in the player window

tutmov is a folderitem

----

  dim f as folderItem
  dim tutmov as editableMovie
  JavaMovieTitle.text=TutTitle
  f=Tutpath

  folderpath.Text=f.AbsolutePath

  tutmov=f.OpenEditableMovie

  if f.exists then

  if tutmov = Nil then
  MsgBox "tutmov is nil"
  else

  'filename.Text=str(tutmov.duration)

  moviePlayerJava.movie=tutmov
  moviePlayerJava.play
  end if

  else
   MsgBox "movie doesn't exist"
  end if

  PlayerJava.show

I have some msgbox for my debugging. works fine on a mac. Doesn't work on PC.
 I put a textarea in the window and it displays the absolute path, which seems
correct. But tutmov is nil on pc.

please help. I am 2 weeks overdue on shipping.
