What, exactly, is the benefit of creating a plugin for RS? I understand it expands the functionality of RS, but in what way that one couldn't do from within RS? What is a limit (example of one, that is) of RS that demands that a plugin be written? Is it just another route for expanding capability? Thanks to whomever takes the time to explain this to me! _________________ Windows 7 Ultimate RS Pro 2010r2.1 "Christianity has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and not tried." - G.K. Since it's written in C, it has the possibility of being much, much faster than pure RB code. If you are making a control, there is a bit of functionality that is run in the IDE that you cannot do with RB based controls. That is perhaps the biggest thing with RB control plugins. I'm sure I'm missing a few reasons, but for some things, writing it in C will be better than doing it in pure RB code. _________________ Bob K.
