While there are some features that could enhance the report capabilities to developers, to me the built in report capabilities enable me to display database information much more easily for viewing and printing purposes verses working with the printer class. I have fully adapted and modified the report example to my existing database, column names, layout etc and can display information. However there are at least two things I need to accomplish. 1. I would like to print a running total of items contained within the Group Footer not a sum of those values contained within the DataField. So if there were 10 items contained in the group I would like to print the number 10 in the Group Footer. This would mean the # of items in that group are 10. 2. I would like to change the documents display contained within the Canvas of the Report Viewer. Currently it displays in an 8" width. I have changed the page width in the Report layouts that I created without the needed result. I have locked the canvas to the right side and that does not open the sheet to a wider width. I have tried various ps settings without the needed change. Basically on item #2 it would be a landscape or portrait view I am attempting to create in the viewing area of the canvas that could also set the ps settings prior to printing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
