Posts: 2 I just purchased Real Studio Professional and would
like some recommendations on getting up to speed with it. I have a good
background in VBA and also created some small apps in VB6, no .NET though (not
an issue with Real Studio, right?!) I see several books at Amazon.com, but
they're all at least 5 years old, so I don't know how applicable they would be
to the current version. I was also considering a subscription to the Real
Studio Developer magazine. Mostly what I do involves working with text data
files downloaded from bigger systems at car dealerships, but I'll probably be
getting involved with SQL Server and Access databases down the road.

Location: Boiling Springs, SC You could view videos on Youtube
which feature Real Studio (5 years ago it was realbasic...also the language
name)... take a trip over to realstudiodevspot.com, rblibrary, ABRB...or follow
the course packet which is offered in the download area at
realsoftware.com...if you are familiar with Visual Basic or VBA, I'd recommend
taking a look at the example projects included with Real Studio or looking at
the lessons provided with the Language Reference to familiarize yourself with
the concepts. There are quite a number of locations available... definitely
would not recommend any of the books unless you are using an old version of
Real Studio as it will lead to confusion. Bob Keely (apology on name spelling
bob ) also offers lessons on his website that you may find quite valuable.

Posts: 2 Thanks, I just checked out Bob Keeney's site, I'll try
a couple of the freebie videos to start. I also just subscribed to Real Studio
Developer magazine, and I'll check out the other sources you mentioned. Thanks
for the help.
