Obviously with the push toward tablet computing I'd like to get my feet wet with programming for the ipad. I am a registered apple developer and I can code some objective C stuff but I have yet to apply my limited objective C knowledge to writing so-called 'apps'. I imagine most would agree that its much easier to design a GUI in extended basic than objective C so I wanted to start off here. To the point, how difficult is it to convert an RB program to be ipad compatible? Is it possible to write an app in RB or are we stuck using objective C? :-/ Top DaveS Post subject: Re: Getting started.... on ipad?!?!?!Posted: Sun Jul 22, 2012 10:30 am Joined: Sun Aug 05, 2007 10:46 am Posts: 3915 Location: San Diego, CA Asked and answered many many times If you were to read the forum more closely, as well as Apple related websites and blogs you would know that as of right now, RealStudio does not compile for iOS. You would also have read that RealStudio has begun developement on such a compiler but has no estimated delivery date, as they themselves have published that they have only a few controls even working. Currently there are a few options, the primary of which is Obj-C. _________________ Dave Sisemore MacPro, OSX 10.7.3 RB2011r3 Note : I am not interested in any solutions that involve custom Plug-ins of any kind Top Display posts from previous: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by AuthorPost timeSubject AscendingDescending Page 1 of 1 [ 2 posts ] -- Over 1500 classes with 29000 functions in one REALbasic plug-in collection.
