Posts: 168 Recently I upgraded from Real Studio 2011r3 to Real
Studio 2011r4.3

Previously in RS 2011r3 I developed a WE app, deployed on our internal NAC OSX
Server 10.5, modified appropriate port rules on our Cisco router. Things were
working internally to the internal ip:Port# of the internal MAC OSX Server and
externally using the Static Public IP:Port#

I finally carved out some time to take a look a WE app and make some
inprovments.
After upgrading I opened the same app. Saved it to this new version of RS, and
ran in debug mode. Everything was working. I cleaned up some font and screen
display. Ran in debug mode and everything was okay.

Next I compiled the WE app using Port 9000 and as a standalone all just like
before. Nothing was changed in the App section in the IDE

I quit the previously running WE app on the server by killing the terminal
window it was running in
I copied the LIB and executable to the same location which is contained in a
fold within the WebServer:Documents folder and started by double clicking. The
Terminal opened and the app was running. No errors

I checked to see if I could connect internally and I could by using a web
browser and typing IP:PORT (this is the same as before and is 9000)
When I checked to see if I could connect externally I could not and I receive
the "Cannot Open Page" because "Safari cannot open the page because it could
not connect to the server."

Not sure what was up. I checked permission and they were wxr-xr-r which is 754

Still not sure I changed to 755

Still not connecting

If I kill the Terminal window, copy the old fcgi Lib and executable into the
same folder located in the WebServer directory we can connect.

Not sure what is happening. Does anyone have a clue?

Thanks

Carl
