I've just set up a program to send files to my customers. There's one text file and one html file to be attached to each email. I had an old program which did this, but what that did was send them to my Outlook 2003 outbox, which then sent them when I hit the 'send' button. I rewrote the program because I wish to avoid Outlook and an addon which was required. Anyway, the program appeared to be working fine and people are receiving the files correctly, except for one person who was attempting to view his html file on an iphone. There were problems with the mimetype, which I hadn't set correctly. I set these correctly (I think) to text/plain and text/html. He can now receive the files, but they just display as a large chunk of text/html on his screen (it does show the correct html formatting, on my screen at least). But he can't access them as seperate files, they're just viewable. As I say, I'm new to this and know next to nothing about mimetypes or iphones. I haven't got a clue what's wrong here. Any ideas? Here's the code I'm using for the sending file = new emailAttachment file.loadFromFile getFolderItem(FileName) file.MIMEType="text/plain" mail.attachments.append file file = new emailAttachment file.loadFromFile getFolderItem(FileName2) file.MIMEType="text/html" mail.attachments.append file // send the email socket1.messages.append mail Top Display posts from previous: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by AuthorPost timeSubject AscendingDescending Page 1 of 1 [ 1 post ] -- Over 1500 classes with 29000 functions in one REALbasic plug-in collection.
