What I'm trying to do is populate ComboBox1(top one) with some choices, then depending on the choice, CBox2 is populated with some options, and so on. Then I'd like to make the bottom text field give me a printout of the options in a sorta ID format. This will eventually become populated with 8ish combo boxes and some image wells to accompany them and so on. Example of what I'm trying to do: CBox1, is populated with different car manufacturing companies, you select Ford, CBox2, now has the model of the vehicle for you to select, you select the F150, CBox3, now has the size of the engine you want in that truck, you select a small block 350(I know nothing about cars so I'm making this up as I go), Now the text field at the bottom has in it "FRDF150SMLBLCK350" in it. I took a intermediate course on REALBasic in 2007 and sorta lost interest in coding, but I am now in need of relearning this. I know basic programming, I just wanna get this working and then I'll go on to dissecting it and learning from there. Thanks for taking the time to read this guys. In CBox1.Change you could use something like: Select Case me.text Case "Ford" CBox2.DeleteAllRows CBox2.AddRow "F150" CBox2.AddRow "F250" Case "Citroen" CBox2.DeleteAllRows CBox2.AddRow "F350" End Select That would add different rows to CBox2 depending on what you select in CBox1. Does that help you somehow? _________________ Dev. iMac 27" + 2x22" LG (2.8GHz Intel Core i7, 12GB RAM, 120GB SSD) OS X 10.8 Using Subversion on a Synology DS409+ REAL.Studio Web Edition 2011r3 Top van_xan Post subject: Re: Help with ComboBoxesPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 2:07 am Joined: Sun Oct 21, 2012 11:59 pm Posts: 2 Yeah actually that helps a lot Akiland, thank you Top Display posts from previous: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by AuthorPost timeSubject AscendingDescending Page 1 of 1 [ 3 posts ]
