It doesn't do anything when you try to start the app. The serial number is being written to C:\ProgramData\MyApp and this file can be seen in the guest account. I tried the Windows troubleshooting that used UAC: Run as administrator, but that didn't help either. Any ideas? Is there some setting that needs to be made for the guest account? Southern California If your app is opening any files/local databases at startup, does it quit if it can't open them? If so, you may be having the files in an administer only location or with administrator only permissions.
