I am trying yo back up the data base that has been created through code using he save dialog box. I have been laying with this for some hours now and cannot get the Dialog box to pick up the Database that is located next to the exe. Am I approaching this a wrong way? Her is what happens 1) I have a timer that goes off to prompt the user that they need to back up of the database file. 2) In the menu item i have an entry to back up database that pulls the save as dialog box up that defaults to the current directory of the application. 3) I can never see the database file in the directory through the save as dialog but can verify through the explorer / mycomputer interface things to note 1) windows 7 machine 2) because the database is done in code there is no extension file associated with it. 3) not sure if what additional file types need to be added to the project is there something for the sql-light database? I think I set up every thing that is there. Is the db name always the same? When using the dialog, you can specify the file name, and/or extension. Also, if using a folder dialog, that wont necessarily show the file. I am sorry, but I do not have access to more specifics at the moment. However tomorrow I will take a look and share specifics with you....
