Posts: 52 I've run out of things to try.

I have a jpg picture (absolute path is: "c:\1_Pictures Bible\Cross3.jpg")
which I want to load into an Imagewell. (ImageWellPicture)

I got the following code fron the manual:
  Dim f as FolderItem
  f = GetOpenFolderItem("c:\1_Pictures Bible\Cross3.jpg")
  if f <> Nil then
  ImageWellPicture.Image=Picture.Open(f)
  End if

This code will open the folder that contains the picture file (Cross3.jpg) but
I have to click on the picture file (Cross3.jpg) and then click on "open" and
then the picture will be loaded into the ImageWellPicture.

How do I get the picture to load directly into the ImageWellPicture without the
user having to do anything?

I also tried  [f = GetFolderItem("c:\1_Pictures Bible\Cross3.jpg")] and that
didn't work either.
In addition I tried a bmp picture and tried using jpep instead of jpg nothing
works

I've got to be doing something wrong but can't figure it out

I need someone to show me the actual code that will work.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
Dave

PS: I tried canvas because it looked like it would be better; but couldn't
even get it to show up in the window.
