Posts: 78 This seems so easy I can't believe I couldn't just
pull up and example in the docs. I'm sure it's there, I just don't seem to be
searching correctly.

I want my REALSQL database to have a log table that records actions as the
users make changes. Just 2 fields in the table: timestamp and description. I
have seen where timestamp is a valid REALSQL datatype but how does one set the
value from a REALBasic value?

thanks for all the help you kind folks have been offering,
bill

Goto my website here

http://www.realstudiodevspot.com/applic ... hp?view.10

and click "watch the video"

it'll show you how to use a realsql database and I also have a code library
available on the frontpage at realdevspot.com that you can download with over
400+ snippets and code demos/examples of how to do all sorts of stuff... the
entire library was created using realsqldatabase and many pieces of code from
within the library more is added all the time...

nicely done video.

Except I didn't see anything about the TimeStamp which is my inquiry.

thanks,
again,

Setup two Columns in your table and review the RS docs for the Date class

Dim timestamp as new Date
Write timestamp.sqltimestamp (or any of the time functions) to the first Column
with your description in the second column:-)

Apologies, I misread your post.
