Such as will it support Andriod/Windows Mobile etc as well ? I understand they will be looking at it in the future. I'm pretty sure it has not been ruled out but Android is a totally different set of frameworks and not so straight forward. I'm assuming moving to Cocoa with RB (XOJO) sort of went hand in hand (ish) with IOS development. Anway lets see what Xojo holds for us first. I understand from Blogs i've read we willl all need some time to get our teeth into Xojo with its completely redesigned IDE. That should keep us all busy before IOS development is released. And besides if we get everything now what will there be to look forward to. The whole appeal of RS/XOJO is the "CROSS PLATFORM" nature which shoudl extend to all devices. There is already BAsic4Android (www.basic4ppc.com) which allows native applications on Andriod so a XOJO version should be fairly easy thing to do Top ktekinay Post subject: Re: IOSPosted: Sun Apr 28, 2013 5:56 pm Joined: Mon Feb 05, 2007 5:21 pm Posts: 563 Location: New York, NY Why would you think that's "fairly easy"? From what I understand, the Android code is not similar to anything that is in Xojo already, whereas iOS is a cousin to Cocoa. To put it another way, why not ask the folks who make Basic4Android to add Mac, Windows, Linux, and iOS compilation to their product? Since they already do Android, it should be fairly easy... _________________ Kem Tekinay MacTechnologies Consulting http://www.mactechnologies.com/ Need to develop, test, and refine regular expressions?
