I have Real Studio (latest version) installed on Windows 8. Everything works fine. But if I test (run) my application, the windows taskbar disappears. If I close the test, the taskbar reappears again. I get the same behaviour when I click on the built exe.file of the application. All other applications, built e.g. using Delphi or another development platform, work fine and do not show this behaviour. Also running an example like the GroupBox example work fine and leave the taskbar intact. Is there a special setting I have to activate? Thanks for help, bzm Top Jason_Adams Post subject: Re: Windows 8 taskbar lost while testingPosted: Fri May 24, 2013 11:09 am Joined: Fri Nov 10, 2006 4:10 pm Posts: 1845 Location: Michigan, USA Sounds like you unchecked the Window.MenuBarVisible property. Most people think this means there's no menu at the top of the window, when in fact it hides the OS menu bars (e.g. Windows task bar). Check this again to make it appear. To have no menu bar in the window, just leave the MenuBar property blank in the IDE. Simple as that. Hope this helps! _________________ Windows 8 x64 Windows XP Pro SP3 Ubuntu 11.04 via Virtual Box RS Enterprise 2012r1.1 Programming Tutorials & Free Projects: http://www.JasonTheAdams.com "Christianity has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and not tried." - G.K.
