Razzak I tried this and i got a message something to the effect that i wasn't allowed to use expression with note fields
Are you sure about that, Bill? <g>
To test the scenario, try the following steps:
01. Make a backup copy of your dtabase.
02. CONNECT dbname
03. RBDEFINE tablename
04. Add a new column at the end of that table, such as AllNotes
and use the data type NOTE.
05. Save the table.
06. At the R> prompt:
UPDATE tablename SET AllNotes = (note1col¬e2col¬e3col¬e4col)-- substitute dbname with the actual database name
-- substitute tablename with the actual table name in that database
-- substitute note1col with the actual first NOTE column name in that table
-- substitute note2col with the actual second NOTE column name in that table
-- substitute note3col with the actual third NOTE column name in that table
-- substitute note4col with the actual fourth NOTE column name in that table
What do you get?
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak.
