Here's how:
01. Click on the "Line" object on the appropriate band in
    Report Designer.
02. Select "Left" from the ComboBox on the "Edit" section
    of Report Toolbar for vertical line.
03. Depending on your layout, you may select "Right" from
    the ComboBox on the "Edit" section of Report Toolbar
    for vertical line.
That's all there is to it!
