Hello all,
I am creating a database that requires a fair amount of text in a specific field. I would prefer to use the internal RTF capability as opposed to shelling out to a Word or Worperfect document. This is basically for security reasons, as I can keep the document in the database.
Now....it this a SAFE thing to do??? I have had some trouble with memo fields in the past - when pointers break, your edited memo field is a scrambled mess and usually a total loss. Does RBase file these RTF documents as one piece in the row??? If the database gets large, will it slow things down? Can you archive and recover these easily?
Question two: In a tabbed form with different tables on different tabs, how does one insure they all get saved upon close of the form? Isn't there a property command that does this? I think Charles Parks helped me with this a year ago, but I lost my notes, of course....
TIA
Bob C.
