Re: TEXT field

If you use a VARCHAR data type for this field, the contents are stored in file 
4. I recently
converted a data file with more than one NOTE filed to use VARCHAR instead, 
because the row
lengths were being exceeded. They have worked well. The users access them from 
within a DBGrid,
and they edit easily with a mouse click. The "icon" that displays in the DBGrid 
shows whether or
not there is any data in the field. My users like it.
