Bob,

Also look at the PSC Falcon devices. We're just about to start using these (wireless), running WinCE, connecting to Citrix via an ICA client, and run R:Base directly. This negates the requirement for Pocket R:Base and gives us a full-time, live connection to the db. And, since we are running RBG7.1, what we can accomplish is limited only by the display size.

I am looking at the possibility of starting a project with Pocket Rbase. Before I do, I need to review what "handhelds" with barcode scanners are available and what the costs are.

Thus, my request is for information on what equipment people are using out there. This project will be used for scanning barcodes in our factory so I need the units to be Pocket Rbase compatible, built in scanner, portable and dockable. I do not foresee using wireless at this time.

I have looked at Intermec, Symbol and HDD. Any comments would be appreciated. Specifically the Intermec 600 series.

Also, I did not see the memory requirements for Pocket Rbase on the web page. Would someone please be so kind to advise of the actual amount needed to effectively run it?

Thanks,
-Bob
