John,
This was a known problem several updates back. I had ran into it
also, but it was fixed some time back. I just ran a simple report that
used a Sum Of variable on the page footer, Pass set to 2 and printed
it to the screen. Then from the screen to a file and the values all
matched OK. This was a very simple report, but it did have a sum of
on the page footer. (Latest ver. 80)

So I guess I would verify what version you are running and insure that
there are no errant files from older versions lurking around in your computer
somewhere that may be getting called up in the path statement.

It might even be worth deleting every possibly RBASE file from your
entire system and doing a clean install since Rbase is pretty easy to
install.

Having the DBcalc value available for use would be a great enhancement
and I am voting for it!
